The Creating World Peace project is an initiative of the Global Country of World Peace. Founded by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in October 2000, the Global Country of World Peace is a country without borders, designed to be a home for peace-loving people everywhere. The Global Country of World Peace is promoting new, scientifically proven programs to bring life everywhere into accord with Natural Law and to support all national constitutions with the unified field of natural law—the Constitution of the Universe.
The Global Country of World Peace carries out its activities through its regional and national affiliates and through project specific organizations worldwide. Responsibility for the Creating World Peace project is carried out by the Brahmananda Saraswati Foundation, established on 11 January 2008 expressly for this purpose.
Brahmananda Saraswati Foundation
The Foundation has the responsibility for funding the project and for creating an endowment that will ensure its perpetual support. This includes managing a worldwide fundraising program, receiving donations, and advising on the investment of the endowment fund. In addition, the Foundation has the responsibility for directing and monitoring all disbursements to its affiliates in India to ensure that the goals of the project are achieved in an efficient and timely way.
Management
The permanent president of the Brahmananda Saraswati Foundation is Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, first ruler of the Global Country of World Peace. The Patron of the Foundation is His Holiness Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati, Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math. The trust is governed by a 48-member council of educators, scientists and businessmen. There is a five-member executive committee from this that make the day-to-day decisions.

The Brahmananda Saraswati Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the U.S., and donations are tax-deductible for U.S. taxpayers.
Operational Organizations within India
Construction of buildings in Phases 1 and 2 of the project and land ownership of the 1,200 acres in the geographic center of India are being done by the Spiritual Regeneration Movement of India, a charitable trust founded by Maharishi. In Phase 2 of the project, for the establishment of the 48 Brahmananda Saraswati Nagars, affiliated charities in India founded by Maharishi which also operate under the umbrella of the Global Country of World Peace will also be involved in some location-specific tasks.
Training and employment of Vedic Pandits is being carried out by Maharishi Veda Vigyan Vishwa Vidya Peeth, a charitable trust in India.
The management team for these charities in India is led by Dr. Girish Chandra Varma. Dr Varma is Director General of the Maharishi Capital of World Peace in the Brahmasthan of India, Chancellor of Maharishi University of Management, Chhattisgarh, and as Chancellor of Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools group has provided the executive direction over the establishment and operation of a private school system with 160 schools and 88,000 students.
